This webinar will explore effective clinical hypnotic techniques used in acute pain control. Dr Mike Gow, General Dental Practitioner and a Clinical Director of Dental Anxiety Management, The Berkeley Clinic, Glasgow, will discuss how useful hypnosis can be applied in ordinary practice and show you how hypnosis can be used as the sole method of controlling pain during procedures, specifically in dentistry.
Delegates will become aware of hypnosis as an approach that is practical in everyday clinical care, and with some training, how they can apply it to their own practice.
CPD learning applied.
After this webinar you will:
- Be able to identify various techniques and approaches to acute pain management
- Be able to adapt and apply clinical hypnotic techniques to acute pain management cases
This webinar is organised jointly by the RSM Hypnosis and Psychosomatic Medicine Section, the RSM Pain Medicine Section, and is in association with the British Society of Clinical & Academic Hypnosis (BSCAH).
